LOVER – LOVERDRIVE

Wintter Labs' eighth release, Lover is a transparent drive (yes, you didn't read that wrong) with all the features that made the brand's pedals stand out in the national and international market in recent years.

Unlike its brother Kûarasy, the Lover really aims to maintain the original characteristics of each guitar used with it, without coloring the sound. Depending on the configuration, you will have doubts if it really is turned on!

However, it is by no means just that.

Based on Lovepedal's legendary Woodrow drive, we took the liberty of including a gain control (which tames the distorted characteristics of the original pedal), and a toggle switch to toggle between clipping with silicon diodes, or germanium (an idea inherited from our El Malito).

Toggling changes the signal's clipping and compression, giving options for a more open and granular tone, or a tighter, tighter drive. Lovely, isn't it?

With these controls, you can surf between beautiful clean boost, all the way to second-stage distortion. Oh, and it sounds great with ALL types of guitars! And it's an excellent boost for our Picumã fuzz pedal, the most beloved in Brazil.

As if all that wasn't enough, the name of the pedal, PCB design and visual art follow a concept of love, loving yourself, loving what we do, and love for the art resulting from our boxes.

The PCB's heart-shaped design was the work of our partner Moonn Electronics, and the exterior artwork, based on hand-painted prototype art by Laura Guglielmi, was refined and finished by Maurício Gades, our designer partner since the early days of the brand. A big highlight is the control icons, stylized in the shape of a heart.

The theme song for the release of Lover was composed by Matheus Tcacenco, using the viola caipira, to prove the translucent characteristics of our pedal. The launch videos were produced by Ueliton Ross, with a script focused on making the event light and fun.
