Gretsch USA Custom 12/14/16/5.5x14 micro bop drum set Mardi Gras

Steve has developed the new Jazz Legends series. This series is designed to celebrate the 12x16 bass drum sets used by Elvin Jones as well as Art Blakey. This Gretsch USA Custom kit is here and ready to go. Gretsch did in fact make sets with this size bass drum upon special request back in the 60s, and Elvin used one in 1965 live with John Coltrane in Indianapolis, Indiana. Very few original Gretsch 16" bass drums have ever surfaced. We're now offering these Jazz Legends kits both with and without the snare drum and in standard build out as well as full vintage build out. This kit is 8x12, 14x14, 12x16, 5.5x14 and all vintage build including our 100% correct reproduction 4 point butt plate as well as our Gladstone-style tom leg brackets and our 60s era repro legs. And, this set is wrapped in our exclusive Mardi Gras wrap. Beautiful confetti-like pattern on a black background. A finish that hasn't been seen since the late 50s and early 60s, but now it's back and exclusive through us for Gretsch sets. This set has been the display kit in our Illinois store and we used it as the house kit for a couple of our jam sessions so you save some money here. This set is vintage build-out, including pull-out spurs, bass drum muffler, tone controls on the toms, rail consolette, bass drum T-rods, Lightning strainer, and vintage style brackets on the 12" and 14".
