The brand Kapa is an interesting story in the world of electric guitars. Koob Veneman, a Dutch immigrant and the owner of Veneman’s Music Emporium in Silver Spring, Maryland, founded KAPA as a line of guitars in 1963 upon receiving hardware and pickups from Hagstrom and Hofner and retrofitting them to his own body designs. Single pickup with nice output, great clarity and versatility. Lightweight body with a slim rosewood/maple neck that has a fat taper to it and thin,healthy frets. Basic volume and tone controls, decent bridge setup and tuners. This particular guitar is in excellent shape with very little cosmetic wear.
