Great Working Vintage Altec 438A Tube Compressor Amplifier (Mic Preamp)

This listing is for a Classic Altec 438A Tube Compressor Amplifier (Mic Preamp) in Excellent Condition. This Altec compressor has just come back from being tested and gone through by a highly qualified technician and was given a clean bill of health and it is in good working condition and ready to find a new home in your recording venue. There is one concern and that is the some fraying/cracked power cord and it may need to be replaced at some time.The tech told me that everything is working well and the meter moves freely as it should.
The unit looks to be original and is in excellent cosmetic condition as can be seen in the pictures. .  
 Due to age the amplifier is being sold AS IS.
