The Hagstrom Viking Bass is semi hollow and finished in gloss Black. Based around the Concord bass guitar it delivers retro looks with modern features. SEMI HOLLOW WITH A 30.75 INCH SCALE. This semi acoustic bass guitar has classic styling. It comes with some very modern touches though. Playability wise the maple set neck is slim and very comfortable. The Hagstrom Viking Bass in Black includes an H-Expander Truss Rod. This adds stability to the neck. Important given its slender proportions. Resinator wood is a composite used for the fretboard. It delivers tones similar to tat of ebony. It is more consistent though. Housed in the semi hollow contoured ply maple body are two Dyna Rail pickups. These are controlled using a Rotary switch and volume and tone knobs. A huge range of tones can be got with this combination.
