Bubinga is an exotic hardwood from Africa sometimes nicknamed "African rosewood," though it is botanically unrelated. It provides the Super Jumbo body with a thick, punchy bass, crisp high-end, and a warm midrange: Gibson SJ-100 w/ bubinga wood. Bubinga is a gorgeous African hardwood.
