JUNOST-21 Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer.

Very unique and original sounding string machine - russian answer to Roland JUNO.

I have a large collection of Soviet analog equipment, but unfortunately, for various reasons, I am currently forced to sell it. Specifically, I am selling this JUNOST-21 as non-working, though I must admit that I am not entirely certain about its condition. The reason is that I do not have the original power supply, which was specific to this unit, nor do I currently have any replacement, even for test. As a result, I am selling it in this unknown condition. This item came from my B-Stock collection, where there is neither a power supply nor the original box.The original owner from Belarus, when I bought this from him, claimed that with a power supply, it is in working condition. However, I have no way to verify the accuracy of his statement, so I am listing it as "non-working."

Visually, as you can see, it is in still good condition for its age.One key (F3) has come out of its position, but the contact itself is still in place. If you lift the key, you can press the contact with your finger. The retaining spring for this particular key has just broken.

I have dramatically reduced the price so that someone might be interested in finding a power supply and restoring it.
I also have all the schematics(scanned in jpg) for this unit, including the power supply schematic, and it might even be possible to simply build a new power supply.

However, I believe these can occasionally be found on eBay/Reverb.

• This auction synth was made in December1988 in USSR Serial number 6440.

• Polyphonic 48-note (F-E) strap-on velocity-sensitive synth with mod grip. 

• Fairly unique, since most synths of this type are mainly monophonic. 

• You can choose one of the three vco configurations, each of them having four pre-programmed filter and envelope settings. Also is possible to set synth to manual mode, then it's possible to use synth's filter, env and lfo settings. Also chorus is available.

• Nice extras are grip and strap, there are volume, tuning and chorus controls on the grip..

• Sliders on the main synth body for LFO depth, speed, delay, routing to filter or VCO. VCF and VCA each with AD envelope.

• Presets: three banks of four. Two-digit LED.

• Connections: Audio OUTPUT with 5-DIN connector, Input for EXTERNAL Power supply.

• JUNOST-21 sounds really great. Deep, warm very Juno-like pads, soft basses, airy analog strings, filtered analog brass, cosmic apreggios. Really ultimate string and juno-like sound machine.
