Neumann TLM 50

Great condition Neumann TLM-50 for sale. 
The holy grail for orchestral recording. It was discontinued a couple of years ago and used to cost 8000€+ new. 

I got this as part of a large microphone collection and some of them have to go. If this doesn't sell I will be glad to keep it for use in my studio. 
Sounds absolutely fantastic on acoustic instruments. In front of an  acoustic guitar, over a violin, as a room microphone in front of a string quartet etc etc. The transient response is just fantastic but maintains a deep and balanced sound. 

The design of the capsule is pretty unique. Much like the famed vintage M50.  It has a small titanium(!!!) membrane capacitor transducer mounted to a polymer ball. This produces a very natural ambient sound and also helps to shape the directivity.  It will have a cardioid / hyper cardioid pattern in the higher freq.range and a true omnidirectional pattern @ freq. lower than about 500Hz. Off axis response is VERY smooth. The electronics are all solid state, transformer less -> virtually no noise and a freq. response down to the infra sonics. 

It comes in its original wooden box with original printed schematic. Includes original Neumann Swivel mount terminated to XLR. 

Everything works 100%. It sounds and works great.
