This Gibson Custom Shop Randy Rhoads 1974 Les Paul Custom White VOS is a tribute to one of the most influential guitarists in hard rock history. Inspired by the famous Les Paul Custom played by Randy Rhoads during the early years of his career with Ozzy Osbourne, this Custom Shop recreation captures the aggressive yet elegant character of the instrument that helped define an era. The white nitrocellulose finish with VOS treatment gives the guitar the lightly aged appearance typical of vintage instruments while maintaining the unmistakable look of a classic Les Paul Custom. The body features a maple top paired with a mahogany back, a traditional combination known for its rich midrange, sustain and depth. The mahogany neck with the Small D Rhoads profile offers a faster and more comfortable feel compared to thicker vintage neck shapes, making it ideal for precise playing and fast passages. The ebony fingerboard with a 12-inch radius and 22 narrow tall frets provides a smooth and responsive playing surface, perfect for expressive bends and articulate phrasing. Electronics are driven by a pair of Super ’74 humbuckers designed to recreate the powerful and open character of vintage pickups, delivering tight lows, strong mids and clear highs suitable for both aggressive rhythm playing and soaring lead tones. The Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece ensures excellent sustain and tuning stability. With a weight of 4.530 kg, this Les Paul Custom delivers the authority and tonal presence typical of classic 1970s Gibson instruments
