1956 Fender Stratocaster Sonic Blue over Sunburst Limited Edition 20 YEARS OLD! Absolutely case queen time capsule guitar from 2005. This was one of the most expensive guitars Fender made twenty years ago and replicated the 1950s practice of custom color ordered guitars simply being sprayed over a normal factory Sunburst finish. This is the equivalent of your Gibson Murphy Lab today. Only a handful of these were ever made, with this one living its entire life unplayed in its case. Out of hundreds of Strats I have owned, this one may look the very best. Pictures simply do not capture the master crafted relic details. The new owner will be very pleased with their investment. Keep it in its case for another 20 years, or take it on the road with you and add some of your own personal relic touches. Over time, more of the Sunburst finish will reveal itself.
