The Furman AC-215 is designed for use in space-constrained applications, such as behind a flat-screen TV, inside an instrument amplifier, or in a small home studio. It incorporates core Furman power technologies to safeguard connected devices and ensure clean power delivery: 

• Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP): This non-sacrificial surge suppression technology provides the highest level of protection available, absorbing and dissipating damaging transient voltages without requiring the unit to be repaired or replaced after a major surge. The clamping voltage is an impressive 188 VAC peak.
• Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT): LiFT significantly reduces AC line noise and contamination, ensuring clean power for optimal audio and video clarity. This helps prevent lost digital data, the need to reboot digital presets, and other issues caused by AC noise.
• Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS): The EVS circuitry constantly monitors incoming voltage and automatically shuts off power to connected equipment if it detects unsafe levels (typically above 137 VAC).
• Manual Reset Requirement: Unlike the AC-215A model, if the AC-215 shuts down due to an EVS event, it must be manually reset by turning the unit off and then on again after the voltage condition has been corrected.
