While Atkin has long proven that they can build a guitar like no other, the aging process is perhaps the most impressive aspect of Atkin Guitars. The passion with which these instruments are made shines through, and it is hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the look!
The left-handed Essential D offers that 100% Atkin tone; stripped down to the bare essentials! Each Essential D has a Sitka spruce top and is reinforced with pre-war scalloped bracing, all of which is 'baked' in Atkin's workshop.
Mahogany back and sides are complemented by a lightweight mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard; just like some of the best Pre-War guitars. This is a tried and tested combination, extremely popular with songwriters, and a workhorse that never gets old!
