Fuzz Face BC 183 w/ Bias Control: Old school Grey Tone Bender enclosure: I've always liked Tone Benders, but I love Fuzz Faces more. Here is a mash-up of both worlds with a BC 183 based Fuzz Face circuit housed in a custom old school fuzz enclosure. The BC 183 transistor is the spec used in the Dunlop Eric Johnson Fuzz Face, so you can get the sound of that Fuzz Face and a whole lot more out of this unit.
Pedal has new components with a 500k audio pot for Volume, 1k linear for Fuzz and an added pot that tweaks the bias of Q2 from a farty fuzz, to a rippy Eric Johnson sound, all the way up to a smooth 60's germanium sounding fuzz. This is a very versatile fuzz pedal. When dimed, this thing goes can go into Devi Ever fuzz territory.
Transistors are a matched pair of BC 183A and BC 183C silicon. PCB is an Arbiter reproduction. Carbon film resistors and NOS capacitors are all new and hand wired.
Like all good fuzz pedals, this pedal only runs on a 9V battery as God meant it to be.
