Ovation Records Vector 4 Quadraphonic Sound Test Record. In 1973, Sansui partnered with Ovation Records to promote the Sansui QS 4 channel quadraphonic system and related audio components. The test record has tracks for checking out a 4 channel system, proper speaker placement, and balance and tone. 1 kHz test tones are also on the record.
Demonstration tracks offer dramatic illustrations of 4 channel capability with sounds of man and nature, drummer Joe Morrello at Carnegie Hall, and others that let you hear multi-channel sound as it was during its early development.
Unlike digital copies of dubious quality, the Ovation record provides a high-quality analog signal authorized and created in partnership with Sansui. The record is fully compatible with 2 channel systems.
