Top of the line vintage Sony TC-440 Reel To Reel tape deck, purchased from the original owner, always in a non smoking climate controlled environment, rarely used, comes with the dust cover, original box, original packing, original manual, very nice cosmetically. I checked it out and it tried to rewind and tried to fast forward, could not get to switch into the play mode, passes signals, meters work, will need the typical and necessary belt replacement, cleaning, calibration and restoration that all vintage original decks will require. This is a 6 head, Auto reverse deck with closed loop dual capstan drive system. It has back lit analogue meters, Sound on Sound and Echo, stereo mic inputs, stereo monitor switch, 3 speeds, no wear on heads at all, rarely used. This Sony has excellent potential, quality vintage Sony design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and potential performance. The dust cover has a piece on the corner that has been chipped and glued back. The shipping cost includes safe packing, insurance, prompt shipping and tracking number.
