Up for sale is the today is the grail of all vintage Selmer Saxophones. Here is a 1960, 85,xxx Selmer Mark vi tenor saxophone. This is the vintage that you don’t see available very often and especially not in its original condition. This ones a player with approximately 70% of its original laq as well as a premium pro overhaul using black roo pads and metal resonators. This horn has that very special vibe of being Uber responsive with a big sound and getting more punchy and dynamic as you move up the scale of the horn. This is an attribute of the very finest Selmer mark vi saxophones. This vintage was made most famous by Michael Brecker but generally regarded as the most special Selmer tenors ever produced, and for good reason. It comes with its original neck that has never been pulled down and has the matching serial number. The horn is excellent mechanically with no past resolders and only a few past dents removed here and there. It will need nothing for a long time and is in top plying condition out of the case. The bell rim at some point had a small bend that’s been corrected professionally. This is a very special horn all the way around- some would say the horn of a lifetime.
