Navigator Esparto Strat 1980 ESP-made

An early high-end SE-model, made between 1979 and 1982. ESP-made (not Kasuga), with accurate 50' spec. Would have been hand-made in small runs. One of the nicest MIJ Strats to ever come through here. A very resonant and beautiful sounding Strat. According to the 1980 catalog there was a SE-90, 120, 150 and 200 model, ranging from 90-200'000 Yen.

Body: One-piece ash body with real nitrocellulose finish. 50's style two-tone sunburst.

Neck: One-piece maple, with fat U-shape and 7.25" radius. Really nice playing neck, true to original 50's Strats.

Pickups/Hardware: Rumpelstiltskin Gypsy boutique pickups. Original electronics with 250K japanese-made pots, vintage style cable isolation and open three-way pickup switch. Solid brass saddles and steel trem. Original, smooth-turning Kluson tuners.

Cosmetic Condition: In really nice condition overall. Only minor wear. Damage to headstock decal. The part that would have said 'Esparto' is removed.

Playability: Intonates nicely, with nice and low action. Low fret-wear and no playing issues.

Weight: 3.4 kg

Case: Gigbag + professional packaging
