The Vintage Modified series produced both the original, dual single-coil Thinline Telecaster, and the later, '72-style dual humbucker Thinline.

Squier released a number of variations on the Telecaster Custom in the Vintage Modified series. All feature the traditional '70s 4-knob control layout, but two were produced with unique pickup configurations: one with P90s, and another with humbuckers. For the purists out there, a more traditional Wide Range humbucker/Telecaster bridge pickup model was also released in the mid 2010s.

Squier's Classic Vibe series has been providing authentic vintage reissues of classic Fender models since 2008. Where Vintage Modified revels in the oddball, Classic Vibe puts the iconic vintage Fender feel in a budget package.
