About this listing
Funky, responsive, and made specifically with bass in mind, the MXR Bass Auto Q is an envelope filter pedal designed to bring expressive, touch-sensitive movement to your low end without sacrificing punch or clarity. It reacts to your playing dynamics to create that unmistakable quack, sweep, and vocal-style filter sound that can instantly make a bass line jump out of the mix.
MXR built the Bass Auto Q to give bass players access to classic envelope filter sounds while keeping the low frequencies intact, which is a huge deal compared to some filter pedals that thin things out too much. It is a great fit for funk, fusion, jam, experimental, or groove-heavy playing, and it can add a ton of personality to both fingerstyle and slapped lines. When dialed in right, this kind of pedal can completely change the attitude of a rig in the best way.
