Overview
While the 1970 - 1976 Corvette maintained the 6135 model code, little else remained from the previous design. The original Hi-Lo'tron pickups were replaced with humbuckers, and the vibrato unit was replaced with a wrap-around bridge. The 6135 Corvette would eventually be replaced by the 7623 Corvette Deluxe, which was largely similar, but featured a bound fretboard.
