About this listing
Based on a 1962-spec Stratocaster, this guitar is part of the “Thin Lacquer” series, which authentically recreates a vintage look and feel. Unlike conventional polyurethane-finished models, its thin lacquer finish gives this attractive guitar both the character that comes with aging and excellent tonal quality. Featuring an alder body and a rosewood fingerboard, this guitar delivers the warm, deep tone characteristic of the ’62 model. The slab-joined fingerboard produces a rich midrange and sweet highs, making it ideal for a wide range of genres, from blues and rock to pop. The neck features an easy-to-grip C-shape, offering vintage style combined with excellent modern playability. A key feature is how the thin finish allows the resonance of the body and neck to be transmitted directly, enabling the player to richly express every nuance of their playing. Equipped with vintage-style pickups, it delivers a mature, aged character and a clear, deep sound. It stands out with brilliant separation during chord playing and a lustrous, smooth tone during lead playing. Additionally, the thin finish allows you to enjoy natural weather checking and changes in patina as you play?a unique charm of the Shin Lacquer model. While it possesses a vintage-like feel right out of the box, it evolves into a truly one-of-a-kind instrument the more you play it. This guitar boasts the high level of craftsmanship unique to Japanese-made Fender, pursuing an “authentic” approach in every aspect?appearance, sound, and texture. It’s the perfect model for players who want to enjoy the atmosphere of a vintage guitar with modern-day quality. ・Sticker residue on the back panel ・Shows significant signs of aging and wear ・Multiple dents, primarily around the body end ・Some screws missing from the back panel ・No parts have been replaced.
