This classic 5-string banjo from the early 20th century was made by George Washburn / Lyon & Healy in Chicago. As is typical for instruments from this era, it has no serial number, only a stamped model number.
The banjo is in excellent, ready-to-play condition. There are minor signs of wear, such as small scratches and scuffs, as well as a few dents on the peghead. The tension screws and tailpiece have been replaced, and the old pegs have been replaced with modern planetary tuners.
Length 89 cm, scale length 67 cm, nut width 32 mm, body diameter 11"
The neck is straight, and the action is optimally low (requires a high bridge). Set up with medium steel strings. The instrument comes in a modern hard-shell case.
