The Fender Showmaster, made in the Custom Shop from 1998 to 2009, is a real rarity. The goal with this model was to build a superstrat that not only looks classy, but also meets all the requirements for handling and sound. The neck was glued in, which is not typical for Fender, which provides an extra portion of sustain. In general, the sound is a blast even without an amp, nice full and balanced, but still more lively than a Les Paul. The pickups used here are a Seymour Duncan Custom TB-11 Trembucker at the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates at the neck, which turn out to be the perfect mix for all rock sounds at the amp. So here you get a modern player that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound and practical value!
