Known for its warm, smooth tone and versatile cardioid polar pattern, the D190E is a great choice for recording vocals, drums, guitar amps, and other instruments that require close-miking.
The AKG D190 first made it's mark as a reporters' microphone, though many musicians and studio engineers like it for it's excellent general utility mic characteristics, and especially for tom-toms and congas. It works equally well for live use as a snare, overhead or guitar cab mic, too; often requiring little fiddling with the EQ because of it's innate neutral tone.
This D190E has a standard AKG small diaphragm capsule that you'd find in a few of AKG's dynamic microphones from the time. Made in Austria sometime in the 70s or 80s, these microphones have a smooth response and make great utility microphones for any studio. Whether it's guitars, drums, or vocals, these versatile mics will produce nice warm, natural results - superior to most modern budget dynamic microphones!
In excellent, clean condition throughout, and complete with it's original box and manual.
