Thanks to the 24K gold-sprayed membrane (1.07”), the SC1100 achieves very good depth representation and high sensitivity. 

for vocals - switching between the different polar patterns really changes the frequency response in interesting useful ways. + the low cut = a very versatile mic

for other special conditions that require separation the figure 8 is a very very useful tool. not available in any other microphone I know for this price.

in conclusion - this mic - can prove a very useful tool in a professional session- but I mostly recommend it for anyone starting out and wanting to record vocals or experiment . It can handle a variety of tasks.
