This is a Dual-Band Optical Compressor from SM Pro Audio. It’s a secret weapon for tracking bass guitar since you can compress the low-end and high-end separately. Really good for recording/mixing vocals with harsh high end (think a de-esser but a little more broad band).
This unit is RARE. No online retailers I checked had any in stock and new ones aren’t being made anymore.
