Michael Joly Modified Oktava MK-219 Oktavamod

Michael Joly was known as the premier microphone modifier, he took regular every day microphones and was able to re assemble them with new capsules, electronics, and head baskets and make them sound like much more expensive too of the line Neumann mics. A few years ago Michael closed up shop and stopped doing mods so these microphones are diamonds in the rough now. This is currently the only MK219 oktavamod for sale on the planet, and Michael said this was his best work. It was meant to mimic the sound of the U47 with amazing results. Artists like Elliott Smith were big fans of Joly mics and this one is in perfect condition and comes with the original certificate of authenticity unlike most other Jolys for sale. This has been an incredible mic for me but it’s time to give it a new chapter. The pandemic has hit some of us creatives hard and we need to downsize to survive. But I hope this finds a good new home and Is used for some amazing recordings.
