Used, in good playing condition. This is an exceptionally nice guitar for the price, with a resonant solid spruce top, comfy mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, gold Grover tuners, attractive binding and rosette, and more. Tones are rich and full and playability is smooth and easy -- what more could you ask for?? This one took a fairly nasty fall at some point in its life and shows a healthy amount of cosmetic wear and tear throughout; the impact point is visible on the bottom of the guitar, and a couple cracks have formed in the top layer of the laminate back. It also has a few marks on the back of the neck and some other normal cosmetic wear in the finish throughout (see photos). These issues don't currently affect playability or tone, but could lead to more necessary repairs down the line. There is some minor fret buzz at high volumes around the 12th fret on the D string that will require additional fretwork to repair. There's plenty of room in the saddle and the truss rod works just fine, so this one is right on the edge of "good" and "fair" conditions. This guitar plays and sounds just fine as-is, but it'll probably need some love in the next few years. All in all, this is a perfect guitar for beginner or intermediate players, or more experienced players in need of a solid backup or 'beater' instrument. Right on! Does not include a case/gig bag or other accessories, but check out our shop online or get in touch directly if you'd like to add anything to your order.

From Greg Bennett Guitars:

When you consider the various parts of the guitar, the top is clearly the most critical element. The top, in the most basic sense, acts like an air pump. The more flexible the top material, the more efficiently it translates the energy from the string into the sound waves that we hear as music. Instruments made with solid tops produce greater volume, fuller tone, and have stronger projection.

The WORTHINGTON™ series acoustics have a solid spruce top, in a package with striped mahogany sides and back for clarity and balance. Mahogany may be the best overall wood if you need an evenly balanced sound. The balance lets the serious player determine the tone by the way he plays the guitar. The soft corner bridge design helps prevent finish cracking at the corners. Grover™ tuners round out a truly professional package.
