Gibson Thunderbird Non-Reverse bass from 1966 in rare black finish recently fully set up and matched with brand new flatwounds.
This bass has the classic Gibson tone that comes with the 60s T-Birds and looks the part as well. Incredibly light too compared to similar instruments from the time.
Controls and electronics all original but as with many of these instruments it has had a headstock repair - was carried out professionally and the guitar still plays beautifully and has an incredibly fast, slender neck.
The serial number is 540663.
Comes with a custom case which is built to withstand heavy and regular touring to protect the instrument. Does however make it quite heavy, hence shipping costs.
Formerly belonged to the bass player of the Kaiser Chiefs and you can see it being used in the video Never Miss a Beat.
