The Ibanez guitar company has roots dating back to 1903 in Japan but began actually building guitars in the 1930s. Ibanez guitars first showed up on American shores in the 60s and 70s, while they produced high qualities replicas of Gibson and Fender guitars. The 80s were a pivotal decade for Ibanez, a partnership with Steve Vai and other contemporary guitar players resulted in fast playing, versatile guitars that defined the company's direction and purpose. Ibanez are well known for making powerful sounding, extended range 7, 8, and 9 string guitars as well as fanned fret and baritone models. Ibanez guitars are played by Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriana, Thundercat, and of course Steve Vai.

A stunning, versatile instrument well suited for virtuosic lead playing, tonally rich rhythm sounds, and an excellent launching pad into sonic experimentation. It's no secret that Fishman Fluence pickups are high end, sophisticated, and versatile, this guitar has a set of their modern humbuckers with the capability to switch from active to passive. Complete with a coil tap, and a smooth, easily adjustable volume control this Axion label guitar is incredibly fluent, and oozes inspiration.
