This cool and unusual guitar features a rare factory combination of Norlin-era design elements with premium modern components to make it a superior sounding instrument. The solid maple body is contoured on the front and back for playing comfort, like the LS-6 Deluxe model. The bolt-on, three-piece maple neck with maple fretboard, brings clarity, bite, and snap to the classic Gibson scale length of this guitar. Combined with the factory through-body string mounting and a brand-new high-density Kluson reissue harmonica bridge with brass saddles, the sustain on this instrument is remarkable. The original factory bridge is included. The original pickups were long gone when the guitar came to me, having been replaced by cheap humbuckers, mismatched pots, and ceramic tone cap. The guitar now roars with a DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary bridge pickup and a Tonerider Birmingham neck pickup. The wiring harness is point to point soldered with Art of Tone CTS 500k pots, a Switchcraft 3-way toggle, and a genuine Emerson Bumblebee paper-in-oil tone cap. It is dead quiet until you hit the strings. It shows wear in line with a 50 year old guitar that's been through multiple owners. The guitar is being sold as a player-grade instrument, requiring a final setup to your personal preference. The rear strap button was poorly redone at some point in the past but is solid. Overall, it's clean and in good shape. It’s got a look, a vibe, and a vintage mojo that oozes old-school character, paired with an elite modern take on classic electronics.
