1978 Fender USA Stratocaster Left-Handed Natural w/ Abigail Ybarra Pickups Vintage

This is a 1978 Fender USA Stratocaster Left-Handed in Natural finish.

Left-handed Stratocasters from this era are quite rare. The neck and middle pickups have been upgraded to Fender Custom Shop Custom '69 Strat Pickups by Abigail Ybarra. The bridge pickup is also a Fender Custom Shop pickup. Although the AY signature is no longer present (or it may have originally been unsigned), I cannot say for certain. All three pickups measure the same DC resistance, but I cannot confirm whether the bridge pickup is from the same Custom Shop '69 set.

The guitar has been professionally serviced by an experienced guitar technician. The work included a new nut, replacement of the pickup selector switch and output jack, a full setup, and overall adjustment. It is currently in good playing condition.

Vintage Fender guitars from this period continue to attract increasing interest, and I believe they have strong long-term collectible potential. If you have been searching for a genuine late-1970s left-handed Stratocaster, this is an excellent opportunity.

Condition

As shown in the photos, the guitar shows honest wear consistent with its age, including scratches, finish wear, aged hardware, and other cosmetic imperfections.

The frets show noticeable wear, but thanks to the professional setup, there are currently no dead spots. If you plan to use the guitar extensively for many years, you may wish to consider a refret in the future.

Several parts have been replaced as described above. The front pickup tone pot has been replaced, while the master volume and middle pickup tone pot appear to be the original 1978 components.
