DW 6.5x14" True-Cast Snare Drum - Sand Cast Brushed Bell Bronze, MINT!

Limited to 50 drums when these debuted in 2020, the 6.5x14" DW "True-Cast" snare drum is a sand cast bell bronze snare drum that stuns collectors and players alike - its brushed bronze shell and hardware make this hefty piece an incredibly reliable tank of an instrument that looks incredible to boot. This drum is in mint condition and has not been played. There are a few cosmetic blemishes pictured on the outside of its hard shell case - purely cosmetic and not scuffed into the case's surface.

Steve’s notes: I sold this drum to the current owner who has kept it in unplayed condition since new. I had the pleasure of being able to play this series when they first debuted. Of course, with a very heavy cast bell bronze shell this drum will have incredible projection and volume, which you would expect. However, what stood out to me was the fact that the drum responded beautifully at any volume level. And, despite the thickness of the shell, it still retained warmth. That’s a rare combination for a metal shell this thick. I’d play this drum any day of the week! (As long as I had someone to carry it for me! 😊).

"The DW MFG True-Cast Snare Drum is a limited snare drum built in collaboration between longtime DW artist and collector, Dave Elitch, and the DW R&D team. This one-of-a-kind snare drum is assembled in the legendary California Custom Shop.

The 6.5x14″ snare features a sandcast and machined Bell Bronze shell that offers a contoured interior shape ranging from 5mm to the top and bottom edges to 3mm at the center. The beefy drum delivers fat, low-end punch that does not choke out at any tuning.

The snare is fitted with True-Cast counter hoops, Mini Turret Lugs, Mini MAG throw-off, and True-Pitch® tension rods, that are machined from brass to exacting standards. The drum is capped off with a 20-strand True-Tone® snare wires and Remo Ambassador single-ply snare heads with DW MFG logos.

Since only 100 snare drums will be produced, each handcrafted True-Cast will include a certificate of authenticity.

Also included is a limited edition DW MFG flight case that will protect the snare from the scrapes and in-transit wear from gigging."
