Ludwig 1930’s Heavy Brass 6.5x14 Snare Drum

Please don’t come up for sale very often and are one of the best sounding snare ever made. This is the famous 6 1/2 x 14 heavy brass two piece Ludwig and Ludwig snare drum from the 1930s. This is a 10 tube lug drum with Nickel finish and is in very good condition. There are some very minor dings around the shell that can be seen in the photos. Overall, the nickel is very clean. Has all the original tension rods, clips and time piece strainer. It is set up in original/orchestral tuning. A change of heads and snare wires and this is a tremendous studio rock ‘n’ roll playing snare drum. Similar to 60s chrome over brass or 70s black beauties but a little louder and more dynamic due to the heavy shell with the edges that fold all the way back to the shell.
