The Deluxe series was released in 1998 as the top-of-the-line model in the American Standard series at the time.

Its sibling models included the Stratocaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass.

Taking into account the music scene and cultural context of the era, these guitars were based on the existing Standard series

and incorporated modern specifications designed to appeal to users,

yet they differed from the high-end models popular at the time, offering a guitar that evoked

the “flavor” of the good old days of Fender.

The noise-canceling pickups mounted on these models evolved over time.

With details like the addition of an S-1 switch to expand sound variations,

the series was crafted with meticulous attention to detail throughout.

Until the baton was passed to the current American Elite series,

it was sold worldwide as Fender’s flagship mid-range product.

Based on the serial number, dates, and specs on the back of the headstock, it is believed to be from around 2013.

This model had a short production run, spanning only from 2013 to 2016.

It features a lightweight ash body with a distinctive thinline construction incorporating F-holes.

Tortoiseshell-pattern binding wraps around the body’s perimeter.

While it has a classic look at first glance,

it features a modern C-shaped neck with a compound radius.

Lock-type tuners are used for improved tuning stability.

The Noiseless™ N3 Single-Coil Tele pickup, which is key to the sound,

is paired with an S-1 switch to deliver an even wider range of tones.

There are some scratches and minor dents from playing,

and the finish has faded overall due to aging.

The frets show some wear on the lower frets, but they retain about 50–60% of their original height.

The truss rod turns both left and right.

Currently, the neck has no significant warping and is comfortable to play.
