One of AKG’s most recognizable workhorses, known for its practicality, flexibility, and unmistakably direct sound. In its very first addition and excellent shape

This early Austrian-made AKG C1000 S represents the original concept before later revisions—built with a simpler circuit and a more honest, unprocessed character. It’s a version many engineers still prefer for its clarity and reliability across countless real-world applications.

I love restoring these 50 Hz – 20 kHz legacy work horses. There Is something about them that is just - usable.
