The Yamaha KX88 is a dedicated master keyboard designed for serious MIDI control in a synthesiser setup. It doesn’t generate sound, but offers hands-on authority over attached tone modules. With a weighted 88-key action and fully assignable interface, the KX88 provides detailed command through sliders, switches, wheels, and external controller inputs. Its three operating modes—Play, Controller Assign, and Parameter Assign—allow precise control over up to 192 user-defined MIDI codes. Whether split across two channels or operating in dual mode, the KX88 is a programmable performance hub built for expressive control.
