The Peavey T-60 is an electric guitar developed and manufactured by Peavey Electronics in the late 1970s. It was the company's first mass-produced guitar made entirely in the USA and is considered a milestone in the history of electric guitars. Here are some key facts and features of the Peavey T-60:
Development and Introduction: Introduced in 1978, the T-60 was the result of Hartley Peavey's efforts to produce a high quality, yet affordable guitar. It was designed by Chip Todd, who was also responsible for the design of the Peavey T-40 bass guitar.
Construction and materials: The T-60 is characterized by its solid construction. The body is made of ash wood, while the neck is made of maple and has 22 frets.
In recent years, these Peavey instruments from the USA of the 70s and 80s have skyrocketed in popularity and value. And why? Because they are well-built, unique-looking and affordable USA-made guitars. This T-60 is a wonderful example and in very good condition minus a few chips and play wear.
