Raven was a brand distributed in Canada. This is a Matsumoku made guitar, identical to a Univox Phase 1 Custom, except for the bridge which is the same one used on the Epiphone ET-270 (And obviously the headstock badge).
The guitar plays surprisingly well for what it is. The neck is straight. All the electronics and switches work. It stays in tune when using the tremolo bar. The truss rod works and moves both ways. Action is medium-low and there is room to adjust.
There are some scratches and wear on the body. Nothing too bad, except the neck pickup cover and an area near it on the body (see pic). Looks like someone was just strumming heavily in that area. Otherwise no breaks or repairs. I think the knobs may have been replaced but they also look old and appropriate for the guitar so not 100 percent sure. I’m the second owner.
Looks like a rosewood board, and when I looked inside the body seemed to be solid wood, not plywood.
Will ship in an old MIJ fake leather bag.
