ESP fans, gather ‘round! We have a rare and exciting guitar to share with you today. This rare, neck-through ESP prototype is based off the ESP Horizon body shape and it features a Tune-o-Matic bridge and tailpiece combo. Paired with a single EMG 81 in the bridge position, this axe was built for speed!

The understated trans-red finish elegantly highlights the lightly figured mahogany top, and flipping it around, we can see the three piece maple neck as it extends into the body. The neck heel is perfectly carved on this guitar, effortlessly gliding your hand into the high resister. The neck is dead-straight, allowing the guitar to achieve an action that’s lower than low. Shredders rejoice!

This guitar is in excellent shape, with a number of very light scratches around the body, and one slightly deeper scratch on the back of the body. It’s been professionally setup with low, fast action. It’s had the fretboard conditioned, and the electronics cleaned, as well. A gigbag is included for easy transportation.

The old-school teardrop shape is a breath of fresh air from the plethora of pointy guitars that bear the ESP logo. Lacking a truss rod cover, serial number, and sporting upside down tuners, we’re pretty confident in saying that this guitar is a factory prototype that was never intended to hit the streets.
