70’S PEAVEY MUSICIAN 300 SOLID STATE GUITAR & BASS AMP HEAD, 175W, FUZZ, PHASER

This one goes back a ways. This is a USA Peavey Series 300 Musician solid state guitar or bass head. It delivers 175 watts and though a little noisy in some of the pots, it all works and sounds good. Great for a basement amp or someone trying to find the sound they had long ago.

Basically, it is 2 channels. A second and most basic one that is just 2 inputs (Hi/Lo), a volume and a 3 band EQ. The main or first channel is where the action is. This has the same volume and a 2 band EQ, but it also gives you some additional midrange EQ settings via a Spectrum knob. There are early built in effects on this amp like a phaser and fuzz. Both work. The center of the faceplate is where you will find the power and polarity controls as well as the manual control to engage the fuzz and a normal/high toggle for the fuzz too. The back of the amp has dual output jacks and a pin jack for a footswitch which is not included here.  

This Peavey Musician 300 Solid State Guitar & Bass Amp Head is a used item in VG condition. The items listed show very little wear (just aging) on the tolex covering but you will see some scratches on the faceplate as well as some rusting appearing on the corners and chrome parts. The amp works but there is some scratchiness in the pots that we will try to spray out for you before shipping. Fuzz and Phaser work. EQ’s are good too. A good starter or solitary amp. No speaker cab or speakers come with this listing. You will receive this item well-packed but without the original paperwork or packaging. Please contact this seller for additional information.
