K Yairi AR521 signature
You are looking at a very nice, well-made K.Yairi AR521 Classical guitar with his signature on the label. This guitar was made in Japan in 1984. Ceder top and book matched Rosewood sides and back. The fretboard and bridge are also Rosewood, and the neck is Mahogany. Scale length from Nut to bridge 26.25 " and Nut width 2". Schaller Grand Tune machine heads and a very effective LR Baggs pickup installed with a sound hole control and brass endpin. So the best appointments available were used. The red fret markers are stickers which can be removed. It sounds rich with great volume. There’s bumps and cracks and scratches and dings and a nice mark on top bout from thumb wear. No issues affect strength or sound, the most obvious flaws are the thin crack in the lower right body top, professionally filled from within and fine. The other scar is the very small surface crack on back of headstock, also settled. I loved the war wounds on this beautiful classical guitar, the marks add a nice patina and enjoyable carefree playability. It isn’t a precious toy never to be soiled or bumped, it’s a fine working instrument and looks and feels the part. It’s a classic classical guitar! Comes in a suitably well-made case. No offers please, I know what this is worth. If you're a Classical guitar enthusiast you probably do too. The tuners and electrics alone are worth 650.
