Trigger Plate/Foam/Piezo Replacement for Alesis Surge/Command/Crimson - Do It Yourself - 2&6/8 or 2&3/8

This is a Do-It-Yourself kit to replace worn, cracked, or broken trigger plate inside Alesis drum pads for Command, Crimson, Surge, or other models that have essentially the same set-up. Or, perhaps the pad is triggering inconsistently, but everything else appears to be in order. The trigger component is a critical component of an e-drum pad. In many cases, a new internal trigger component replacement can be done for much, much less than buying a new pad.

Make sure you measure the plate width to get the correct size:

• For pads that are 12", the plate is usually approx. 2 & 6/8" square.
• For many 8" and 10" pads, the plate is usually approx. 2 & 3/8" square.
• We can cut to order, just message with the size you need.

The kit includes what is pictured:

• New plate (made from shatter-resistant polycarbonate).
• New piezo disc, pre-wired; with double-backed adhesive to attach to plate.
• Enough foam that can easily be trimmed to make at least five, 1-inch pieces; double-backed adhesive disc pads to affix new foam to plate.
• Extra double-backed adhesive strips to affix new plate back on to mounted area.
• Screw terminals to connect wires without soldering. (Will require use of wire strippers to trim and strip wires; can be purchased online for less than $9.)

(Note: While there are other methods, this DIY approach is intended to maintain close to the design integrity of the original configuration as possible. The fifth photo shows a recent full replacement - foam pieces, plate, piezo disc).
