We are selling this rare and cool Red Sound SoundBITE XL professional loop sampler, with original box, a compatible power supply, the original chrome brackets and manual!

CONDITION: The unit is fully working and in very excellent near mint cosmetical condition. It comes with the original box, the original printed manual, the original chrome brackets (if you want to fix the unit in your mixing desk) and a compatible power supply!

IMPORTANT: The only thing to report is on the display: the central number is missing a line (that does not light up). So if you enter 110 as BPM you will have no problems, while if you use a central number that has the line at the top you will see a modified number: for example if you enter “205”, “2U5” will appear on the display (see photos). This obviously does not concern the functioning of the Soundbite which is perfect in everything!

The display has been like this for many years and has never caused any problems, even when used in the dark. We also think that it is easy to repair, but the previous owner never did it as he used the Soundbite so without any problems! The instrument works at 100% and it’s very cool!

Featuring Red Sound's acclaimed V3 BPM engine, SoundBITE XL automatically creates seamless loop samples that cycle continuously in synchronization with each other and the music source.

If you’re looking at this auction, you already know what this gem can do! You can automatically loop samples. You can loop up to 32 beats long with a wide range of loop lengths, from 1/4 to 32 beats.

It has 6 stereo loop memories of predefined length, but the length of the loop is measured in BPM rather than seconds. Inputs and outputs are on 2 pairs of phono (RCA) sockets at the top of the unit. Recording and playback is started by simply pressing one of the 6 sample pad buttons. The recording continues to the end of the sample time.

There are some very neat features. It has a really nice sounding analogue filter, selectable HP, LP or BP which can filter either the sample pads or incoming ‘live’ signal. The filter resonance or cut off frequency is controllable via the large data wheel. In addition, it has a handy Reverse function which reverses any individual (or combination of) sample pads.

It’s very simple to use, simply press a sample pad to start the recording, then the sample will automatically playback and loop repeatedly at the end of the sample. If you make a mistake, simply press re-sample, then the sample pad again to re-record. All the pads continue playing in forward or reverse mode, all synced nicely together. 

The sound quality is very excellent, it’s actually quite exciting to use this as a looper, and opens up certain possibilities for live use! This is the perfect tool to spice up your live or dj set!
