Vintage 1960's Herk Favilla F-12-H 12 String

Favilla guitars were made in New York from 1890 and closed their doors in the early 1970's. Those who are familiar with the Favilla brand swear by them - excellent quality craftsmanship and even finer tone!

The Favilla 12 string is a seldom seen guitar - as only about 60 where made per year from the mid 60's to the 70's when they closed. As with all other Favillas, this guitar was built with the best of woods available. Here we have a solid spruce top with modified ladder/fan bracing (producing huge volume, sustain and alarming tone) rosewood back and sides. The fingerboard, bridge and head-stock overlay are Brazilian rosewood. The finish is "milky" on the back and in other places. Don't know the cause of this but it does not affect the tone or playability of the guitar. Nice low action and 14 fret neck joint. Needs new strings (which will be included) Will ship in original chip case. Shipping cost is $65.00 in lower USA States.
