Fox Renard Artist Model 220 Bassoon

For sale is an all-Wood Fox Bassoon, Model 220 with new pads, a Fox *CVX* Bocal a NEW PROTEC CASE!  Fox originally produced this instrument in 1986 and has just been overhauled with new pads and the keywork polished to a shine.  The instrument plays extremely well, and has a great look to it.  This high quality Wooden bassoon was made in the USA by Fox, one of the premier bassoon makers in the world. This instrument includes standard keywork plus High D and High E keywork for full range.  The Fox 220 is a long-bore instrument that has great projection and tone.

We have just finished overhauling this instrument. We ended up replacing all the pads on this bassoon, and now it plays cleanly and evenly up and down. This is a great high end pre-professional bassoon, and because of the high quality fox design, you will find that it will play better than most other brands, and the Fox 220 is one of the best pre-professional models they offer.  The Tenon connectors are a mix of cork and wax thread wrappings.

Cosmetically, this instrument is in great condition, and was taken care of.  There is wear on the metal plating, even after polishing, but for a used instrument it looks pretty nice.  Knicks and dings are present on each piece of the instrument.  The photos speak for themselves. This instrument plays great, and now looks good too.
