Based on his pre-warmer style, which is his strongest suit, the newcomer was born with the condition and playability of a new guitar, but with the sound and look of a vintage one. The "Aged Series" by SEAGULL by M.Shiozaki seriously pursues the best guitars that anyone could ever imagine. This is the "SD-60 1940 Aged SB TA/IR/A03". Trifid Adirondack spruce on top and bracing, Indian rosewood on sides and back. One-piece mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and bridge, long saddle, Waverly#4076 Relic open-back pegs, diamond-square fretboard inlays, celluloid poured tortoiseshell pattern pickguard, herringbone trim, ivoroid binding. Zigzag back strip, rearward shifted X bracing. This 1940 spec is a recreated 1940 spec with an austere shade top in a sunburst color and unparalleled quality. In order to reproduce the vintage sound, the top and bracing materials are triffid and very close to the actual vintage material. The design and voicing is of course similar to the vintage construction. Mr. Shiozaki himself is responsible for the top, back and bracing, which are the key to the sound. Low center of gravity and stable sound unique to Indian Rose. The rise with the tightness of the rear shift is very clear and has good separation. Well-balanced, powerful and driving sound that responds well with both pick and finger, giving you a feeling of embrace and comfort that you won't find with a new one. The aging process of this charm is not done after painting, but by hand one by one while the painting process is going on. There are three levels of aging process, from A01 to A03, and this instrument is A03. There are some scratches and paint peeling as if the guitar has been played for many years, and the finish is very realistic in terms of usage, paint checking and gloss. The fretboard and bridge edges are also finished with a texture that looks as if they have been played and worn out. The sound and texture of the Seagull "Aged Series" is not achievable with a simple mass production system. The sound of the Aged Series is authentic and full of presence and quality.
