For sale is this killer, player grade 1976 Hondo II 4001 Bass. This was made in the famed "lawsuit era" of Japanese guitar making in which originality took a back seat to quality.
This particular example plays great, sounds great, and looks vintage! At some point in its life, it was refinished in black. The finish looks good overall, with plenty of little flaws and battle scars. I believe it was originally "fire glow." The floss fretboard looks great, and the frets have tons of life left!
Strung up with brand new strings and ready to play. Low action, and the pickups sound quite good!
