I am not real familiar with this era of Freshers, I do think that these were made in the early 70's or mid 70's. Definitely Yamaki Gakki Made, identical to a Yamaki and Joodee Les Paul Model I have in my collection.
Chambered body, I think its just chambered behind the stop tail.
nice figured top, top is maple laminate over mahogany.
Why a project? well its not really a project, in that it plays as is and needs no real work, but it does not some TLC.
there is a spot on the top, you can see, where the chamber is there is a small section that has been touched up, on the headstock there are no breaks or issues but there is a section that looks like was touched up and needs a clear coat, its on the low e side of the headstock right below the low e tuner.
Its been played, still. a nice guitar for the money. Sellling this cheap to someone that will appreciate this and can put in a little time cleaning up and
touching up the guitar.
