Taurus Guitars:
This model #56 was the next to the “top-of-the-line” Taurus made at the time.

Also, according to various sources, it appears that the Taurus guitar workshop was so highly regarded that it was contracted by the Ramirez guitar people to produce the Ramirez “student” line of guitars. (I've read that even today Ramirez still engages other workshops to produce all of their guitars except for their model 1A.) In other words, this guitar was made by the same people who were making guitars that Ramirez was selling under their label.

Sound:
As such, it’s not surprising that this guitar has the strong, clear projection and resonance it does.
In addition, it has a full, crisp voice in the treble, middle, and bass registers. This is because the top is solid cedar and because the wood is mature enough to have “opened up”.

Finish & General Condition: Very Good
The entire guitar still has its original glossy finish.
It shows minor wear from playing. But considering this guitar’s age, it looks better than one would expect.
There are some scratches to the right of the sound port. It appears that the previous owner may have used a guitar pick at some point.
Action on frets feels perfect ... no buzzing or string chatter.
There is no bowing of the neck.

The guitar will ship well-packed and with strings loosened.
The current strings are brand new D’Addario Pro Arte EJ-45D (medium tension)
